GCC Servicing Systems Helps AmeriFirst Home Mortgage
Transition Government Loan Servicing In-House

SOUTHFIELD, MI – October 31, 2011 –- GCC Servicing Systems, a provider of mortgage servicing technology and solutions, today announced that Kalamazoo, Mich.- based AmeriFirst Home Mortgage has chosen to transition its government loans in-house to be serviced on GCC’s G/SERV platform.

The mortgage banker is an existing GCC client and has served its borrowers for more than 25 years through more than 30 branches in nine states. Recently, the lender opted to bring its FHA and VA loan servicing in-house from a sub-servicer due to dissatisfaction in the overall servicing process. The lender will now service the loans on GCC’s G/SERV platform, which fully automates the essential monthly investor accounting and reporting as well as default reporting for the government loans. AmeriFirst can now oversee the handling of loans from beginning to end with the attention to detail and high level of service their borrowers expect.

“Our past experience in working with GCC has been crucial to our success in seamlessly servicing loans and making our servicing process more efficient,” said Mark Jones, president of AmeriFirst. “We had originally outsourced our FHA and VA servicing needs as those loans require specialized expertise, yet quickly became aware that we could do a much better job internally. By bringing our government servicing in-house and working with GCC, we knew we had dedicated resources and an expert partner to help us handle the volume and loan type with behind the scenes knowledge and maintenance.”

“AmeriFirst has been a valued client for many years and we are pleased to help them make this transition,” said Glenn Liebowitz, president of GCC. “GCC enables lenders such as AmeriFirst to service all loans in-house while continuing to provide the personal, attentive service essential to its borrowers. The G/SERV platform gives servicers control over their loans, business processes and borrower outreach while not incurring the issues associated with outsourcing.”
